The Practitioner
Erin Carlson-Jones, LCSW
Psychotherapist · Sound Practitioner · Clinical Consultant
"I believe healing is not something done to you. It is something that awakens within you, when given the right conditions."
I'm Erin Carlson-Jones, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #61727), licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. For over two decades I've had the privilege of walking alongside children, adolescents, adults, and families as they navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, recovery, relationship challenges, and life's many transitions.
Long before I became a therapist, I worked with animals. That experience taught me something I still carry into every session: healing cannot be forced. It grows through safety, trust, presence, and connection. Whether working with people or animals, the conditions for healing are remarkably similar.
Throughout my career I've worked in community mental health, crisis intervention, nonprofit leadership, clinical supervision, and private practice. These experiences have shaped a compassionate, grounded approach that honors both the science of psychotherapy and the innate wisdom each person brings to their own healing.
My work integrates evidence-based psychotherapy, EMDR, somatic approaches, mindfulness, and therapeutic sound. While each modality offers something unique, they all serve the same purpose: helping the nervous system find safety, creating space for insight, and supporting meaningful, lasting change.
I also know something about trudging the road to happy destiny. That road is rarely straight, and it is rarely walked alone. It is an honor to walk alongside people as they rediscover their resilience, reclaim their stories, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, authentic, and whole.
Whether you are seeking psychotherapy, a restorative sound journey, or an integrative approach that includes both, my intention is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered.

The Philosophy
Healing as Remembering
At the heart of Alchemy Therapies is a simple but profound belief: that every person carries within them an innate capacity for wholeness. The work is not about fixing what is broken — it is about returning to what was always whole.
Drawing from depth psychology, somatic awareness, and the wisdom traditions that have guided healers for millennia, Erin creates a space where the analytical and the mystical are not in conflict — they are in conversation.
Integration
Mind, body, and spirit are not separate — healing one calls the others forward.
Depth
Surface-level change is temporary. We go to the root.
Reverence
Every person who walks through this door is met with sacred respect.
Transformation
Not just coping — genuine, lasting change is possible.
