Transparency & Care

Investment & Payment Information

Healing is one of the most meaningful investments you can make in yourself. My practice is intentionally kept small so I can offer thoughtful, individualized care and build the kind of therapeutic relationship where lasting growth and meaningful change can take place.

Whether you're seeking support through psychotherapy, EMDR, clinical supervision, or professional consultation, my goal is to provide a collaborative space where you feel seen and supported.

Why private pay

A Private-Pay Practice

Alchemy Therapies is a private-pay practice. Rather than working within the limitations often required by insurance companies, private-pay therapy allows us to focus on what is most beneficial for you. Together, we can determine the frequency, length, and approach to treatment based on your goals, not insurance guidelines. Many clients also appreciate the additional privacy that comes with private-pay services, as your treatment information is not routinely shared with an insurance company.

Financial accessibility

Sliding Scale

I believe access to quality mental health care is important. To help make therapy more accessible, I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee appointments for clients experiencing financial hardship. If cost is preventing you from seeking therapy, I encourage you to reach out. If a reduced-fee opening is available, I'm happy to discuss whether it may be a good fit for your circumstances.

Out-of-network benefits

Insurance & Superbills

While I am not in-network with insurance companies, many clients are able to use their out-of-network behavioral health benefits.

What is a superbill?

After each session, I can provide a superbill, an itemized receipt that includes the information your insurance company may require to reimburse you for a portion of your therapy costs. You simply submit the superbill to your insurance provider, and reimbursement is based on the benefits offered through your specific plan.

Questions to ask your insurance company

Before beginning therapy, you may wish to contact your insurance company and ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
  • What percentage of each therapy session is reimbursed?
  • Is there a deductible I need to meet first?
  • How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

Payment

Payment is due at the time of service. I accept major credit cards as well as HSA and FSA cards.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation & Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, may be charged the full session fee.
